The winner of Humanitari/Toms shoes contest “START SOMETHING THAT MATTERS” is Joe Mangrum

In Uncategorized on December 10, 2011 by Humanitari© Tagged: , , , , , , , , , ,

Our winner is:

Artist Joe Mangrum – based in NYC, Joe creates elaborate sand mandalas in the streets of NYC, making many New Yorkers happy with his works. His works are temporal – created with a caring hand, the sand mandalas blow away with the wind… the fleeting beauty of Joe’s sand paintings has caught the eye of the NYTimes, CNN, etc.  We consider Joe Mangrum to be an artist who is doing something that matters – making New Yorkers and visitors happy, one grain of sand at a time!

  1. In a word, WOW! I traveled on to Joe’s website and saw more, oh, my , what a phemominal artist! I also enjoyed a couple of the time lapse videos of the monks making their mandalas. Two children of a different mom, wow, seems so simple a response, but wow, it is!
